Technology Leaders Convene in Groundbreaking Event Positioning Rhode Island as a Hub for Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Data Infrastructure Investment
PROVIDENCE, RI, UNITED STATES, October 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — FountainHead Rhode Island announced the inaugural AI & Data Infrastructure Summit, a premier event convening national technology leaders, investors, and policymakers focused on the future of artificial intelligence, robotics, and data infrastructure. The summit, hosted on the heels of the Phase 1 pilot which featured global organizations such as Barclays, Amazon, Schneider Electric, and others and held at the Rhode Island Convention Center, underscores the state’s commitment to emerging technologies and its rising position as a hub for capital and investment.
The event will bring together C-suite executives, venture capital leaders, and government stakeholders to explore how AI and data infrastructure can drive economic growth, workforce development, and innovation in Rhode Island and the New England region.
“Rhode Island is not waiting on the sidelines of the AI revolution, we are actively building the ecosystem to attract, retain, and grow the companies that will define it,” said Jason Dodier, Co-Founder of FountainHead Rhode Island. “This event is a signal to the global investment market that the Ocean State is open for business, and that we have the infrastructure, the talent pipeline, and the leadership to compete at the highest level.”
“We designed this summit to be a catalyst — not just a conference,” said David Almonte, Co-Founder of FountainHead Rhode Island. “The conversations happening in this room will translate into deals, partnerships, and jobs in Rhode Island. We are bringing the table to the talent, and the capital to the opportunity.”
“The FountainHead Rhode Island AI & Data Infrastructure Summit is exactly the kind of convening that accelerates what we are seeing happen in this industry, said Drew Moffitt, CRO of Moveo.AI. “At Moveo, we are already proving that AI agents can fundamentally transform how businesses operate at scale — from customer service to collections to revenue generation. Bringing that conversation to Rhode Island, with the investors, policymakers, and enterprise leaders who will be in the room, is a real opportunity to shape what comes next. We are proud to be part of it.”
“AI is a large enough force to break the effectiveness of the traditional paradigm that has conversations between operators, investors, and regulators by asset class or segments of the value chain happening in separate rooms,” said Isabelle Nichols, Managing Partner of Polaris Ventures. “FountainHead Rhode Island is giving stakeholders and decision makers a single, critical forum. AI is driving a wave of investment that goes beyond a single asset class and requires allocators to see across asset classes and through segments of the value chain. Infrastructure is at the center of this conversation, and this Summit puts capital, builders, and policymakers in the same room.”
The summit will feature keynote addresses, targeted sector breakouts, and direct networking between Rhode Island site selectors and executives actively exploring expansion or relocation. A pre-summit breakfast on October 23 will convene a select group of corporate partners, robotics and AI firms, and state economic development leaders ahead of the full program.
The event is timed to coincide with the Newport Investor Forum, creating a regional corridor of activity that amplifies Rhode Island’s visibility with the national investment community during a critical deal-making period.
Key themes include:
— Artificial Intelligence and machine learning infrastructure
— Robotics and advanced manufacturing
— Data center development and digital infrastructure investment
— Workforce and talent pipeline for the AI economy
— Rhode Island as a strategic location for technology sector growth
