intelliGEN Group has been selected to join the acceleration program of the Net Zero Innovation Hub for Data Centers, backed by industry leaders
SHEFFIELD, UNITED KINGDOM, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — intelliGEN Linear Generators (Group) Ltd (“intelliGEN Group”) today announces that its technology and pilot program development subsidiary Libertine FPE will join the 2027 acceleration program of the Net Zero Innovation Hub for Data Centers (“the Hub”). The companies selected for the acceleration program will work with Hub members on a validation and scale-up program aimed at the large-scale deployment of innovative solutions in data centers.
The Hub brings together data center hyperscalers, colocation companies, solution providers, technology innovators, power providers, and policymakers to enable wide scale adoption of innovative solutions. The Hub provides selected companies with support for data center pilot and product validation activities together with confirmation of performance criteria for large-scale adoption by members. The Hub also provides access to funding for pilot & validation activities through a combination of Hub-originated funds, private investment and public grants.
The rapid growth of AI computing is creating an urgent demand for tens to hundreds of megawatts per site that grid utilities cannot satisfy. Linear Generators can be deployed on data center sites to produce on-demand power using locally available renewable fuels and conventional grid gas to help solve this problem.
A Linear Generator produces electricity from a precisely controlled flameless reaction between fuel and air that drives magnets through the coils of a pair of linear electrical machines without the mechanical complexity, exhaust emissions and inefficiencies of a conventional engine. The result is a clean, efficient, compact, dispatchable electrical power generator that can operate on natural gas, biogas and a wide range of other gas and liquid fuels.
Thousands of Linear Generators are already in commercial use in the US, powering a wide range of commercial and industrial applications, and growth of this new technology category is expected to accelerate.
intelliGEN Group aims to reduce the cost of Linear Generator products through exceptional power density and use of automotive manufacturing methods, with high-volume production enabled by its global supply chain and manufacturing partnerships.
Quote — Alberto Ravagni, CEO of Net Zero Innovation Hub for Data Centers
“Clean power availability is one of the biggest constraints on data center growth in Europe, and no single company can solve it alone. The Hub brings operators and technology providers together to identify, de-risk, and deploy new solutions at scale in data centers. We look forward to working with intelliGEN as part of our accelerator program.”
Quote — Sam Cockerill, CEO of intelliGEN Linear Generators (Group) Ltd
“Electrical power demand for data centers is growing faster than the grid can supply, and there is now a pressing need for more distributed generation to close this gap. intelliGEN is designed to meet the global surge in Linear Generator demand for decades to come. More cost-effective Linear Generators could become one of the cornerstones of energy abundance built on solar, wind, battery storage and clean power from renewable fuels.”
